Siliguri, 23 October: The construction work of the sub-health centre has commenced in Jyotirmoy Colony under ward no. 32 of Siliguri Municipal Corporatoion. Reportedly, the residents of Neechpara of Jyotirmoy Colony had been demanding to build a health centre in the area for a long time. Before the elections, voters were promised of a health centre would be built in the area.
Regarding this, the work of the health centre has started under the aegis of councillor Tapas Chatterjee at an estimated budget of Rs 28 lakh. Today borough no. 4 chairman Jayant Saha laid the foundation stone of the sub-health centre.
Speaking in this regard, Councilor Tapas Chatterjee said that the said sub-health centre is being set up to provide good treatment and for the welfare of the people. The said health centre will consist of a two-storey building and will be completed in the next 6 months. The health centre will provide treatment to the patients with skilled doctors and staff.
