Siliguri, 12th February: Sensation prevailed after a fire that broke out in a forest spread to the residence of Manoj Gupta in the Medical More area on Wednesday afternoon.
It was reported that the forest fire broke out next to Manoj’s house, and the blaze eventually spread to his residence after coming in contact with an electric wire.
The locals first started to extinguish the fire by themselves and then reported the incident to the fire department. The fire workers reached the spot and extinguished the fire after a crucial half an hour.
