Rajganj, 27th November: An awareness camp was organized on behalf of the forest department to prevent wildlife death by electrocution. The camp was organized at Ambari Falakata Vishwa Bangla Community Hall of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block on Saturday. The members of the forest protection committee were urged to come forward and raise awareness among the people.
Baikunthapur Division Official Manjula Tirkey, Panchayat Samiti Forest Land Officer Mosharraf Hossain, Power Department Official Soumyadeep Ganguly, Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Shashi Chandra Barman, and others were present at the awareness camp.
Officials said that locals surrounded the area with electric wires to protect their crops, which leads to frequent wildlife death by electrocution. A one-day camp was organized to make people aware of the issue.
