Phansidewa, 18th November: Five people have been arrested along with cattle in Phansidewa last Thursday night. Reportedly, the police seized 5 lorries and also recovered a total of 99 animals from the lorry during the late-night search at the Murliganj check post in Phansidewa.
As per the police sources, the lorries which were heading from Haryana to Assam were taken into police custody for failing to provide any valid documents of the cattle. The five accused have been produced in the Siliguri Divisional court.
