Siliguri, 06th June: In a horrifying incident, a sudden fire broke out in the Girish Ghosh Sarani area under Ward No. 16 of Siliguri. However, no casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
According to reports, locals spotted smoke emanating from the multi-storey and immediately informed the fire department and the police officials of the Panitanki Outpost. Later, the owner of the flat also received the information. Meanwhile, the fire brigade rushed to the scene and immediately broke down the door of the flat.
Subsequently, the officials entered the place, doused the fire and brought the situation under control. Preliminary investigations revealed that the fire had originated from the prayer room of the flat. Upon receiving the information, the officials of the Panitanki Outpost arrived at the scene and initiated a further investigation into the entire incident.
