Cooch Behar, 11th October: An incident of mishap unfolded in the Chaitanyahat area of Ghoksadanga of Mathabhanga-2 where a massive fire broke out in a shop and led to significant damage.
As per reports, the incident occurred last Tuesday night. Upon receiving the news, two fire engines swiftly arrived at the scene and doused the raging inferno. No casualties have been reported in the incident. Meanwhile, shop owner Kamal Chandra Barman suffered damage worth lakhs of rupees.
In this regard, Kamal alleged that his shop was deliberately set on fire. At present, the police are engaged in investigating the entire incident.
