Siliguri, 27th November: Sensation prevailed after a fire broke out in a scrap warehouse located at the Tumba Jote area in Matigara near Beldangi on Monday afternoon. The incident left the entire area in a cloud of smoke.
Reportedly, the fire broke out at around 3:10 pm. Upon being alerted, a fire brigade engine arrived at the spot and initiated extinguishing the fire. Later, another engine joined the operation. The warehouse stored broken computer parts, TVs, and other plastic items. However, the actual cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The incident led to a situation of panic among the people due to the presence of several nearby residences.
