Rajganj, 09th December: In a tragic incident, fire broke out at a residence in Jhakua Para, Baropatia Gram Panchayat under the Rajganj assembly constituency, creating a stir in the area.
Reportedly, the incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Monday at the house of Babusona Roy, a resident of Jhakua Para village. Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the fire. Locals quickly intervened to put out the flames.
Later, a fire engine was dispatched to the location after the authorities were informed, but by the time it arrived, the locals had already managed to extinguish the fire.
Babusona Roy’s family members revealed that he had gone to work in the field in the morning, leaving the house unoccupied. Unfortunately, all the belongings, documents, and several thousand rupees in cash were completely burnt. Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit.
