Siliguri, 29th April: A major fire broke out in Siddhi Plaza, a multi-storied building located in Siliguri Burdwan Road on Wednesday. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
Reportedly, the locals sighted smoke coming out from the building, this afternoon, and immediately informed the fire brigade. Upon receiving the news, 2 fire engines reached the spot shortly after and brought the fire under control.
It has been learned that the building comprises of a restaurant and several shops. The firefighters stated that the fire broke out initially inside the restaurant and the blaze eventually spread to the other shops.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
