Siliguri, 28th June: A tragic incident on ISKCON Mandir Road under Ward No. 40 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) has left a family devastated following the death of a youth Ashish Sharma, allegedly due to a road construction vehicle’s negligence.
It is to be noted that Ashish Sharma, a resident of Jaigaon and the sole son supporting his elderly parents, tragically lost his life in the incident. His sudden demise has plunged the family into deep mourning, with his mother inconsolable and his father in shock.
Following the incident, the family has filed a written complaint at Bhakti Nagar Police Station, urging a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ashish’s death. The family emphasizes the need for justice and accountability in this tragic case.
On Friday, the police conducted a post-mortem examination at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) before handing over the deceased’s body to the grieving family members.
