Exhibition of rare currency organized at North Bengal University Museum

Siliguri, 14th March: In order to enhance the knowledge about currency among the students, an exhibition was organized at North Bengal University Akshaya Kumar Maitreya Heritage Museum. 


According to the information, on the first day of the two-day exhibition, many coins of British India and post-Independence period including the currency of Maurya Empire, Mughal, Kushan Empire of ancient India were displayed. Students from various schools of Matigara and Siliguri including Naxalbari, Bagdogra came to the exhibition.

Speaking in this regard, currency expert Shivaji Banerjee said that the students asked many questions during the exhibition. He said that he enjoyed sharing information with them. The students were happy to see the different types of currency.
