Essential supplies distributed to 3,000 specially-abled people in Naxalbari

Naxalbari, 06th March: In a heartwarming initiative, essential supplies were distributed to 3,000 specially-abled individuals in Naxalbari.


Funded by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, items worth approximately ₹50 lakh were provided, including wheelchairs, hearing aids, back pain belts, walking sticks, and other modern assistive devices.

The distribution was carried out from the Naxalbari MLA office. MLA Anandamay Barman said that many people in rural areas cannot afford these advanced devices, and this initiative ensures they can access the necessary support.


He added that across the entire constituency, 3,000 specially-abled individuals will benefit from these modern assistive tools.
