Siliguri, 11th July: The undercover cops of NJP police station arrested eight miscreants before they could commit a crime, on Sunday. The accused have been identified as Bihar residents Suman Shah, Hriday Shah, Ramkumar Shah, Deepak Shah, Munna Mandal, Jitendra Shah, and Bappa Malik and Manu Roy of NJP’s Shantipara.
Reportedly, a gang of miscreants had gathered near a shop in the Netaji More area of NJP with the intention of committing a robbery. Upon receiving this news, the police launched a campaign and arrested all the eight accused. Several sharp weapons were recovered from their possession and were taken into custody. They were produced in Jalpaiguri court today. Police are probing the whole matter.
