Siliguri, 11th April: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr across the nation, several people flocked to various mosques and offered their prayers in the morning in Siliguri. Following tradition, a congregation of several hundred people gathered at the Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri to offer prayers together.
According to reports, the prayers commenced at 9 AM on the stadium grounds. After the prayers concluded, everyone exchanged greetings with each other. Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb was also present at the stadium to convey Eid wishes to the attendees. Significantly, the Imam and other leaders present also extended their Eid greetings to the gathered crowd.
Meanwhile, the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr was grandly celebrated in Rajganj amid festive fervour. Places including Baldapukur, Sannyasikata, Belakoba, Ambari, and Fulbari witnessed the celebration of Eid. Devotees participated in the prayers, marking the significance of the occasion throughout the morning.
