Siliguri 24th May: Two persons were arrested with large quantity of Yaba tablet also known as madness drug. The accused have been identified as Kurban Faraji and Mohsin Sheikh residents of Murshidabad district.
Reportedly, on Monday night, the Special Task Force officials apprehended a truck on the National Highway-31 near Jotiyakali in Siliguri. Later, during the search, 30 thousand Yaba tablets were recovered from the truck and the two were taken into custody.
During interrogation, the accused stated that they were planning to transport the drug to Murshidabad from Dimapur in Assam. Today the accused were produced in the Jalpaiguri court.
