Phansidewa, 29th April: A cargo truck carrying goods from Siliguri to Kolkata lost control and overturned on the side of National Highway 31 in the Bhimbar area of Phansidewa block. The driver of the truck was injured in the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck suddenly lost control and overturned on the side of the highway, narrowly avoiding any other vehicles or pedestrians. The local people immediately informed the police about the accident.
As soon as the news of the incident was received, the Bidhannagar police reached the spot and rescued the injured driver. They quickly took him to the Bidhannagar Primary Health Center for medical attention, and later transferred him to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
The accident caused a traffic jam in the area, and the Bidhannagar police and local traffic authorities were on the scene to control the situation. The overturned truck also caused damage to the goods it was carrying. Bidhannagar police have started investigating the entire incident to determine the cause of the accident.
