Siliguri, 12th October: The surge in dengue is increasing continuously in Siliguri. At the same time, Dr. Sushant Kumar Roy, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) appointed at the Health Affairs of North Bengal in Uttar Kanya today held a meeting with the officials of the District Health Department to deal with the rise in the disease.
During this, the Chief Health Officer of Darjeeling District Tulsi Pramanik, and other officials were present. After the meeting, Dr. Sushant Roy said that there is a lack of services and measures taken regarding dengue. There is still a lack of awareness among the people and is getting difficult to prevent or control the disease. However, this month the number of infected people is reported in comparison to last month. He further requested people in the city to beware of dengue.
