Siliguri, 01st June: Ward No. 20 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation witnessed a commotion as deer musk-like organs were discovered. The incident unfolded today when an abandoned bag on the roadside drew attention. The concerned area councillor, Abhaya Bose, was promptly informed about the situation.
Responding swiftly, Councillor Bose arrived at the scene and proceeded to open the bag, revealing a deer musk-like organ within. Forest officials from the Dabgram range of the Baikunthapur division were promptly informed about the finding. The forest personnel quickly arrived at the location and successfully recovered multiple organs resembling deer musk.
Ranger Shyama Prasad Chakladar of Dabgram Range confirmed that the recovered organs would be sent to the Zoological Survey of India for further examination to determine their authenticity. The Forest Department has initiated an investigation to ascertain any possible involvement of individuals in this incident. The discovery has left Siliguri in a state of intrigue and curiosity, with locals eagerly awaiting the findings of the Zoological Survey of India’s assessment.
