Siliguri, 05th September: In a remarkable turn of events, a woman who had mysteriously disappeared from her in-laws’ house in 2018 was finally found after her family reached out to the “Didi Ke Bolo” program.
“Didi Ke Bolo” is an initiative launched by the All India Trinamool Congress, providing a direct platform for the people of West Bengal to communicate their concerns or complaints to the Trinamool chairperson and the state chief minister, Mamata Banerjee. The family had been tirelessly searching for their missing relative, but all their efforts were in vain. It wasn’t until they reached out to “Didi Ke Bolo” that a breakthrough occurred.
The woman, originally from Shantipara under NJP police station, had disappeared from her in-laws’ house in 2018. Her brother lodged a complaint with “Didi Ke Bolo” in July, prompting the NJP police station to launch an investigation. Using bank account records, the police successfully located the woman in Nadia on Monday. To their surprise, they discovered that the woman had married another man during her absence and even had a child. The woman was subsequently brought back to Siliguri from Nadia.
