Siliguri, 02nd April: Today is the 9th day of Chaitra Navratri and is celebrated as Ram Navami. On this occasion, people organized prayers in different areas of Siliguri city.
The devotees stated that the 9th day of Navratri is an auspicious time and so they performed worship and prayed the Goddess to save people in the country from the pandemic.
Following the guidelines of the administration, temple authorities have restricted the devotees from entering the temple premises to avoid mass gatherings. Hence, the devotees worshipped their patron Goddess at home.
