Rajganj, 26th May: A powerful storm struck on Thursday night, wreaking havoc in various regions of Rajganj block. Reports have emerged indicating significant damages in several areas, including Sukhani, Kukurjan, and Mantadari.
Among the affected areas, Nadhabari village, located within the Mantadari Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block, bore the brunt of the storm. Numerous large trees were uprooted, causing widespread destruction. Additionally, the collapse of numerous electric poles resulted in a complete disruption of electricity services across the entire area.
According to locals, the calamity unfolded around 8:30 p.m. last night when heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds and lightning, descended upon the region. The sudden onset of the storm instilled fear among the villagers, creating a tense atmosphere.
