Dengue havoc claims life of person in Mayor’s locality in Siliguri

Siliguri, 08th November: Dengue has continuously been creating wrecks in the city, claiming the lives of many people including children. With the horror of dengue and its havoc, once again a person died due to it. 
Reportedly, Biswajit Sarkar, a resident of Ward No. 17, had been suffering from a fever for several days. He was admitted to the Siliguri District Hospital on Sunday and took his final breath on Monday. He lived opposite Mayor Goutam Deb’s house and used to work in a jewellery shop. He is survived by his mother, wife and 07-year-old child. 
The blood test report on Monday revealed that he was suffering from dengue. The body was brought home from the hospital on Monday night. The Dengue death toll is surging high in some of the wards in Siliguri. However, health officials have a say quite the contrary stating that dengue has been brought under control to some extent as compared to earlier.
