Jalpaiguri, 02nd May: The forest workers rescued a deer from the Jalpaiguri Bajit Para today.
The locals stated that they sighted a deer crossing the railway track, which then entered the Barua Para area, and further headed towards Bajit Para. The incident was immediately reported to the Forest Department and the Kotwali Police.
Upon receiving the news, the Baikunthapur forest personnel reached the spot and rescued the animal.
Meanwhile, a crowd of people gathered to see the animal breaching lockdown protocols.
