Kharibari, 26th November: On Sunday, the Siliguri Mahakma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh inaugurated the one-day day-night football tournament organized at Buraganj in Kharibari. The event was held on the grounds of Buraganj Kalkut Singh High School operated by the Terai Football Academy and Buraganj Youth.
According to reports, Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh, Karmadhyaksh Kishori Mohan Singh, Buraganj Gram Panchayat Pradhan Anita Rai, School Principal Sushant Pandit, and others were present during the event. In this regard, the Sabhadhipati expressed his optimism regarding the competition and highlighted the organizing of the tournament. He further stated that the primary motive was to reintroduce the current generation into the field. Numerous such tournaments have been previously organized in the department and several more are anticipated to be held in the future.
