Phansidewa,29th March: A tragic incident has cast a shadow of grief over the Magura village of Phansidewa where a daughter committed suicide after being scolded by her mother. The deceased has been identified as Sanjeena Khatun.
According to reports, the girl was watching TV while her mother was offering prayers on Friday night. During this, there was a heated argument between the mother and daughter over lowering the TV volume. After the argument, Sanjeena closed the door of her room in anger.
Later, when the girl did not respond, the woman broke the door and entered the room to find her daughter’s hanging body.
After the incident, the cops of Phansidewa police station reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for autopsy.
Currently, the cops of the Bidhannagar Investigation Center are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
