Darjeeling District Youth Congress protested alleging no steps taken by health department to contain spread of dengue

Siliguri, 28th October: Dengue cases are rapidly surging in Siliguri leaving people worried and stressed. The Darjeeling District Youth Congress today protested in front of the District Health Department alleging carelessness of the department and no steps or measures taken by them regarding dengue.
Today, members of the Darjeeling District Youth Congress submitted a memorandum to the District Health Office of Siliguri regarding several complaints and demands. They alleged the management of hiding and not producing correct numbers of dengue patients in the city.  Adding to their woes, nursing homes are also charging arbitrary bills from the patient’s family. Alleging all this, the members of the Youth Congress protested in front of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Bhawan. 
After this, when they went to the District Health Office to submit the memorandum, the police stopped them which eventually led to an argument. Later, after the situation was normalized, the Darjeeling  District Youth Congress submitted the memorandum
