Siliguri, 27th January: During the election campaigning on Thursday, Darjeeling District Trinamool President Papia Ghosh said that although the fight in Ward No. 19 is tough, TMC is optimistic about their victory.
It is to be noted that the two-time winner Left leader Mousumi Hazra is a very popular face among the residents of the said ward. Hence, she has been elected twice as a councillor.
While the TMC has pitted Bimal Ghosh against her in the upcoming SMC election, the party seems to be very optimistic. Darjeeling district Trinamool president Papia Ghosh campaigned with the candidate in different areas of the ward today.
