Siliguri, 13th June: The Darjeeling District Mahila Trinamool Congress staged a protest rally in Siliguri, accusing the central government of economic deprivation. The rally follows their recent 32-hour dharna in Siliguri and protests in Kolkata, where they raised concerns about the economic situation in Bengal and protested against the rising prices of petroleum products. Prominent leaders, including Chandrima Bhattacharya and Shashi Panja, actively participated in these events.
Today’s rally commenced at the party office in Sevoke More and concluded in front of Kanchenjunga Stadium, following a route through the main roads of the city. Trinamool’s Darjeeling District President Papiya Ghosh, Mili Sinha, and other leaders actively participated in the rally.
