Siliguri, 11th June: Petrol-diesel price hike is a matter of concern for many. The Darjeeling District Congress staged a protest against the same in Siliguri, on Friday. The Congress leaders and workers demonstrated with bicycles and placards at a petrol pump on Hill Cart Road.
District Congress President Sankar Malakar said that the prices of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas have been continuously rising since the BJP government came to power. “We staged this symbolic protest today considering the problems being faced by the people,” he said.
