CPIM submits six-point memo to BMOH at Belakoba Rural Hospital

Belakoba, 30th August: The CPIM’s Jalpaiguri Sadar West Area Committee submitted a six-point memorandum to the Block Medical Officer of Health (BMOH) at Belakoba Rural Hospital on Friday. The memorandum outlines demands for improved safety measures for doctors, nurses, health workers, patients, and their families in response to the R.G. Kar incident.


The CPIM organized a march from the area adjacent to Belakoba Gram Panchayat Office to deliver the memo. Key demands include prompt and exemplary punishment for those involved in the R.G. Kar case and enhanced security measures, including night police presence at hospitals where patients are admitted.

In this regard, Tapan Ganguly emphasized that the primary demand is ensuring swift justice and better security.
