Siliguri, 08th December: A nation-wide strike was called today (Dec 08) by several farmers’ unions in opposition to the Centre’s farm bill and demanding the repeal of the bill.
The effect of the bandh was witnessed in Siliguri since today morning. CPI(M) activists, under the leadership of Tapas Chatterjee, took out a rally from NJP in support of the bandh which toured various parts of the city.
