Siliguri, 01st February: The roadwork on APC Sarani Road under Ward No. 29 of Siliguri suddenly stopped after the project even started. Raising the issue, the CPI(M) councillor of the ward Saradindu Chakraborty presented a complaint at the board meeting of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. On the basis of the complaint, Mayor Goutam Deb visited the said ward on Wednesday.
The Mayor was accompanied by Ward Councilor Saradindu Chakraborty and Borough No. 4 Chairperson Jayanta Saha. During this, the mayor intently inquired about the issue and took stock of the situation.
