CPI(M) candidate Jharen Roy collects funds during poll campaign in Naxalbari

Naxalbari, 11th April: CPI(M) candidate Jharen Roy from the Matigara–Naxalbari Assembly constituency collected funds for the upcoming elections while campaigning at Naxalbari Hat on Saturday. The candidate, along with party leaders and workers, appealed to the public for financial support during the outreach programme.

Speaking during the campaign, Roy stated that the CPI(M) does not rely on corporate donations to contest elections. He emphasized that the party raises funds through contributions from ordinary citizens while simultaneously carrying out its election campaign.

Roy also remarked that unlike the Trinamool Congress and the BJP, the CPI(M) does not benefit from electoral bonds. Therefore, he said, the party is seeking financial assistance directly from the people while engaging with voters on the ground.

Campaigning is already underway in villages and tea gardens across the constituency, with party workers intensifying their outreach efforts. Expressing confidence, the CPI(M) candidate asserted that victory is certain in the upcoming elections.
