Siliguri, 12th June: Siliguri is gradually returning to normalcy in Unlock 1.0. Although various services have resumed operations, many carpenters, masons, and other daily wagers are still left unemployed and are struggling to make ends meet.
After a prolonged period of lockdown and Unlock 1.0 in effect, several people are often spotted in front of Baghajatin Park hunting for some work. Still, at the end of the day, they return home without earning a single penny and are compelled to sleep on an empty stomach.
The daily wagers, who have been going through such a helpless situation for the past three months, now, only hope for an end to the misery.
