Siliguri, 07th July: In light of the growing number of positive coronavirus cases across the city, all shops located in the New Cinema Road area have been shut down following the instructions of the police administration. However, the traders seem to be non-supportive and have expressed outrage over the decision.
In this context, the agitated traders alleged that they received no prior information regarding the closure of the shops and are unable to figure out any proper reason behind the administration taking such a big step.
Several traders stated that they will support the decision taken by the administration only if they are provided the right reasons. They further claimed to discuss the issue with the Siliguri police officials.
