Siliguri, 07th March: The entire country has been witnessing an atmosphere of panic regarding the coronavirus. Sikkim and Bhutan have denied entry to foreign citizens in the state.
Meanwhile, the doctors have also advised the people to avoid crowded areas. In view of the coronavirus scare, the Basant Utsav in Basundhara in Siliguri’s Dagapur has been canceled. The Utsav is one of the most popular spring festivals of North Bengal. Thousands of people gather during the event to celebrate the festival of Holi.
However, the fest has now been canceled. Organizer Sujit Raha stated that the Basant Utsav has been canceled to raise awareness among the people regarding the coronavirus.
