Coronavirus Panic: Siliguri doctor with travel history to Indonesia was not in home quarantine

Siliguri, 23rd March: Sensation prevailed in Siliguri when news regarding a doctor, with a travel history to Indonesia, did not maintain home quarantine surfaced.


As per the report, the man returned from Indonesia on March 19 and then visited his chamber at Hospital More on Monday where a few patients had come for a check up. Upon receiving the news, the social workers and locals visited his chamber and expressed outrage. They asked the doctor to stay in home quarantine. The local traders were also outraged over the incident.

Social worker Pradeep Nandi stated that the doctor confronted the media saying that he has gone through screening and was not aware of practicing home quarantine. The doctor also stated that all the chambers of the doctors should be shut down and the state government should look into the matter.

    doctor saying he was not aware of home quarantine , so what and how will he treat patient, who has given him mbbs degree

    He is being so selfish here… According to him all the doctors chamber should shut down. Who will look after the patients then? Govt should cease his degree. Height of Selfishness.!!
