Siliguri, 26th March: In view of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Siliguri Municipal Corporation took a number of initiatives to assist the citizens. Although the city is free from the deadly virus until now, the common people are in a state of panic.
During a press conference, Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya stated that several precautions and disinfecting processes will be carried out to free the city of germs. SMC’s sub-health centers will also be opened for the treatment of the common people. As per the report, the junior doctors of North Bengal Medical College-Hospital will conduct health check-ups in these health centers.
On the other hand, the Mayor stated that a helpline number 03532435282 has been launched on behalf of SMC. The citizens can communicate through this number in case of emergencies.
