Siliguri, 13th May: Following the resounding victory of the Congress party in the Karnataka assembly elections, the Darjeeling District Congress Committee organized a celebratory rally in Siliguri today. The workers and supporters took to the streets in a procession, spreading cheer and exuberance throughout the city.
The victory rally commenced from Hashmi Chowk in Siliguri, with the participants parading along the main roads of the city. Before the procession began, the supporters exchanged sweets and fervently played abir. Furthermore, Congress workers and supporters extended their heartfelt congratulations to the people of Karnataka for the party’s resounding victory in the state.
Shankar Malakar, President of the Darjeeling District Congress Committee, expressed his zeal, stating that the victory in a significant state like Karnataka signifies the resurgence of the Congress party. He confidently declared that Congress will emerge victorious in future elections across all states.
