Siliguri, 17th June: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have been summoned by ED for questioning in the National Herald money-laundering case. In protest of this, the Darjeeling District Congress conducted a protest rally from the Congress Party office today under the leadership of Darjeeling District Congress President Shankar Malakar.
Later, the protesters burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demonstrated. Shankar Malakar accused the BJP-led central government of deliberately defaming the image of Congress leadership.
