Rajganj, 04th January: The Congress has been campaigning against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act(CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) and in support of the All-India strike that has been called on January 8. A meeting was held on behalf of the organization at Jatiakali more on Saturday.
According to sources, besides the strike, the movement against the CAA and NRC will continue.
The Congress District Committee President Nirmal Ghosh Dastidar asserted that the central government is trying to divide India through NRC. Therefore, the party is protesting against it. He further stated that the demonstrations will be carried out continuously.
The meeting was attended by Congress Rajganj Block President Debabrata Nag and other dignitaries.
