Complaint lodged against BJP MLAs on behalf of Congress

Siliguri, 29th June: The issue of partition of Bengal has taken a new political form. Today, a complaint was lodged against several BJP MLAs at Siliguri police station under the leadership of Darjeeling District Yuva Congress president Rohit Tiwari.


In the complaint, the Congress mentioned that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning a ‘Bang Bhang’ (Partition of Bengal) movement which cannot be considered. Therefore, the Yuva Congress raised voices against the party’s conspiracy and lodged a complaint against Alipurduar MP John Barla, Dabgram-Fulbari MLA Shikha Chatterjee, and Darjeeling Assembly MLA Neeraj Zimba.

They demanded proper investigation and punishment of the BJP MLAs for spreading unrest in Bengal. A copy of the complaint was handed over to the IC of Siliguri police station in the presence of Sankar Malakar, former MLA of Matigara-Naxalbari. All India Congress Committee members Mohan Sharma, Jalpaiguri Yuva Congress president Bapi Chowdhury, Anand Ladda, and Congress workers were present during the programme.
