CJM’s re-autopsy order of late BJP worker Ulen Roy withdrawn

Siliguri, 11th December: An appeal has been made to withdraw CJM’s re-autopsy order of late BJP worker Ulen Roy.

Reportedly, the post mortem of Ulen Roy was carried out on the day he died. The report stated that Roy died due to shotgun injuries. While the state police tweeted that they do not use shotguns, TMC held BJP responsible for Roy’s death and stated that the party members own shotguns.

Meanwhile, the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Jalpaiguri District Court considered the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) petition on December 08 for conducting a fresh post-mortem of Ulen Roy within December 11 in the presence of 03 doctors with full video recording.

However, in a two-party hearing in the district court on Friday, an order has been passed to withdraw the re-autopsy order issued by the CJM.

In addition to this, Somnath Pal, a government lawyer, said that the court will hear Ulen Roy’s sister Shantibala Roy’s appeal again in the next three days. Roy’s family advocate Saujit Singh said that they will also approach the high court if required.
