Church theft case solved in Siliguri, accused arrested by Pradhan Nagar Police

Siliguri, 19th February: Nearly a month after a theft at a church in the city, Pradhan Nagar Police under Siliguri Metropolitan Police have arrested the accused and solved the case


According to information, the theft took place in January at a church located in the Bandhari Jote area of Dagapur. The miscreant allegedly carried out the theft during the night. As usual, staff had locked the church and left, but the next morning several items kept inside were found missing

A written complaint was lodged at Pradhan Nagar Police Station on 2nd January. Based on the complaint, police launched an investigation and continued their probe over the past few weeks


Acting on specific leads, police arrested a youth identified as Kushal Darji from the Bandhari Jote area on Wednesday night. He was produced before the Siliguri court on Thursday.

Police are now investigating where the stolen items were sold and how the crime was executed. Further investigation is underway
