Siliguri, 23rd December: The city witnessed a festive atmosphere as the Christmas Carnival 2025 was organised in Siliguri on Tuesday to mark the occasion of Christmas.
The event was organised by the Siliguri Municipal Corporation in association with the Siliguri United Christian Forum.
The celebrations began with a grand procession that started from Kanchanjunga Stadium and passed through Hashmi Chowk and Sevoke More before culminating at Mahatma Gandhi More.
Participants carried posters with social messages and spread the spirit of Christmas through music and songs during the procession.
Following the procession, a cultural programme was held at Mahatma Gandhi More, where people gathered to celebrate Christmas with enthusiasm and joy.
The event was attended by Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, the Municipal Commissioner, borough chairpersons, members of the mayor-in-council, municipal officials, and representatives of various organisations.
