Naxalbari, 02nd September: On Saturday, an event called “Chokher Alo” camp was organized at the Belgachi Tea Estate in Naxalbari, under the joint initiative of the Health Department and the Directorate of Tea and Labour Department of the Government of West Bengal.
The camp saw the participation of prominent figures including West Bengal Law minister Moloy Ghatak, Ritabrata Banerjee, the Chairman of the Construction Workers Welfare Board, and Sabhadhipati of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Arun Ghosh, among others.
Addressing the media, Moloy Ghatak highlighted the various facilities being provided by the state government to tea workers, such as wage increments and enhancements to the tea gardens. These camps have been conducted in multiple tea estates for the benefit of the workers.
