Siliguri, 21st November: With the completion of Chhath Puja, devotees in Siliguri offered ‘arghya’ to the rising sun amid pandemic on Saturday.
Devotees gathered in various Chhath ghats in the city to offer morning prayers to the rising sun on the last day of Chhath Puja. All prayers and rituals were conducted following the guidelines issued to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease.
Meanwhile, in view of the ongoing pandemic, several devotees offered prayers at home and prepared artificial reservoirs at their residences or in fields. Compared to other years, lesser crowds were spotted at various river ghats in Siliguri.
