Siliguri, 08th November: The Chhath Puja festivities in Siliguri concluded peacefully with a large number of devotees gathered at the only Sun Temple of North Bengal on the final day of the celebrations. The Sun Temple is located in the Samar Nagar area of Ward No. 46 of Siliguri.
This year’s Chhath Puja was celebrated with great pomp like every year. The temple witnessed an overwhelming crowd of devotees in the early hours of Friday morning as they gathered to offer their prayers.
On this day, a major rite was organized at the temple as part of the ritual, followed by the distribution of blankets to the underprivileged. The event was attended by Ward Councillor Dilip Barman who participated in the distribution.
