Siliguri, 24th August: A team of CBI arrived at North Bengal University this morning to interrogate the present Vice-Chancellor Subires Bhattacharyya. Reportedly, out of the two teams of CBI, one is investigating at the Vice-Chancellor’s residence while the other team reached his chamber in the Administration Building of the university. Apparently, the VC is Bhattacharyya is being interrogated in his chamber.
Security guards at Subiresh Bhattacharya’s residence said a group of 10-12 people arrived at his place and the group then split into two.
It is to be noted, Subiresh Bhattacharya was the chairman of SSC for several years. It has been alleged that he was involved in corruption in recruitment at that time. Hence, CBI arrived at North Bengal to investigate the matter.
