Phansidewa, 09th December: A cattle smuggler was arrested by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Phansidewa on Sunday night. The arrested person has been identified as Tahir Uddin, a resident of Murikhawa in the Chotahat area.
According to reports, BSF personnel were conducting routine patrols when they apprehended the individual. Following the arrest, BSF handed him over to the Phansidewa police for further investigation.
The arrested individual was produced in Siliguri court on Monday. Phansidewa police have launched an investigation into the incident, as they suspect the involvement of a larger cattle smuggling network operating along the border.
